Set caching for your content and visitors
Page caching prepares pages for faster delivery. Object caching supports dynamic pageviews and works with Redis, Memcached, Memcache, and APCu. Advanced page cache rules let you configure caching for various content or delivery requirements.
Cache preloading generates cached pages in advance. Sitemap preloading visits the URLs listed in a sitemap to generate their cached pages. Smart cache purging clears only the cache affected by content changes. Logged-in user caching is available for user-specific content and membership sites. Separate mobile cache documents are available when a site uses a separate mobile theme.
Choose which assets to optimize
Critical CSS and asynchronous CSS loading prioritize essential styles. Remove Unused CSS scans a site for CSS rules that are not in use. File optimization can minify and combine CSS and JavaScript, and Google Fonts URLs can be combined to optimize font loading. Automatic image dimension assignment includes missing dimensions to images.
The Image Optimizer compresses images on the fly and converts them to AVIF or WebP. Other media controls include lazy loading, replacing YouTube videos with thumbnails, managing WordPress embeds, and removing emoji scripts. Link prefetching can pre-fetch links for a smoother browsing experience.
Match delivery to your setup
CDN integration uses entered CNAMEs and their corresponding zones. Rewrite support can configure .htaccess automatically so cached files can be served without executing PHP. Gzip compresses cached files. The Premium Varnish extension adds Varnish cache support.
Fit maintenance into WordPress processes
Scheduled database cleanups handle recurring optimization tasks, and WP-CLI options support command-line workflows. Settings can be imported and exported. Multisite activation can apply network-wide or to individual sites; domain mapping supports Mercator and WordPress's native feature.
Cloudflare and Heartbeat tools are built-in extensions. Varnish, Google Tracking, and Facebook Tracking are Premium-only extensions. Google Tracking and Facebook Tracking host their respective external scripts locally and update them when the external resource changes. The interface is ad-free, and Premium includes access to premium support, one-on-one help, and documentation.
Install and configure
Install Powered Cache Premium in WordPress and review its caching and optimization options. Configure page and object caching, file and media optimization, and any extensions needed for the website. After saving, use the cache controls and preload options that fit the site's workflow.
