Disable User Login Pro for Bulk Account Changes
Disable User Login Pro extends Disable User Login with tools for managing individual accounts and larger visitor lists. Disabling an account keeps its profile and existing author connections in place. The user cannot log in; if they try, they are logged out and redirected to the login page with a message that the account is disabled.
Keep author records while restricting login
Disable User Login Pro extends Disable User Login with tools for managing individual accounts and larger visitor lists. Disabling an account keeps its profile and existing author connections in place. The user cannot log in; if they try, they are logged out and redirected to the login page with a message that the account is disabled.
This can keep former employees in author listings without reassigning their published posts, or let freelance writers remain listed while access is paused. Administrators can also restrict a client account during development or while an invoice is unpaid.
Manage account lists and status
Use CSV import and export to bulk enable or disable hundreds of customers. The Users screen also has bulk actions for selected accounts. Its Enabled and Disabled views show count badges, and the Disabled column can be sorted.
Notifications and action history
- Email notifications: Notify users when an account is disabled or re-enabled. Customize templates with merge tags and optionally send a copy to an administrator.
- Audit log: Review disable and enable actions with their timestamps, the person who made each change, and the recorded reason.
These tools support account processes for membership sites, nonprofits managing volunteers, agencies handling client access, and universities processing student account changes.
Configure individual accounts
An administrator can disable or re-enable an account from its user profile. Customize the message shown to disabled users under Settings > Disable User Login in the WordPress admin, or use the disable_user_login.disabled_message filter in code. Install and activate Disable User Login Pro to manage account status from profiles and the Users screen. Review notification templates before enabling email alerts, then use the audit log to track account changes. Pro clients also have access to priority support.
