Choose a chart type for your data
The add-on includes 22 chart types: line, pie, bar, column, donut, histogram, geo, organization, combo, stepped area, gauge, area, bubble, scatter, table, 3D pie, timeline, candlestick, Gantt, Sankey, treemap, and word tree.
Enter data manually, connect a Google Spreadsheet, or query a preferred database. When a connected spreadsheet changes, its chart can update automatically. Database queries require development skills. If you use Quiz Maker, you can also create charts from quiz data.
Preview and publish in WordPress
- Open the chart area and choose Add New.
- Choose a chart type.
- Enter data manually, connect a Google Spreadsheet, or configure a database query.
- Review the live preview and make any changes before publishing.
- Copy the generated shortcode into the post or page where the chart should appear.
The shortcode follows this format: [ays_chart id="chart_id"]. Charts are designed to be responsive, so they can display within your WordPress content across screen sizes.
Data storage and upgrades
Chart data is saved in your website’s database. The supplied product information says the publisher cannot access that data. To retain existing data when changing editions, follow the documented upgrade process.
The plugin uses Google Charts, with charts generated through Google scripts. The supplied information says the plugin does not send data or collect information from the request; Google Charts’ security and privacy details apply to that external service. Documentation is available for chart capabilities and use.
