MalCare Premium
MalCare Premium connects a WordPress site to cloud-based scanning and security tools. Install the add-on, create a MalCare account, and connect the site; an account is required because scanning and related processing execute through MalCare servers. Scans check site files and the database. Automatic scans run daily, and on-demand scans are also available. The scanning method is designed to identify complex malware without adding scan processing load to the WordPress site.

The dashboard can display vulnerability alerts, malware insights, and details about hacked files. Use those details to investigate a detected issue and see which files may be affected.
Choose Premium controls for protection and cleanup
The cloud scanner, firewall, and CAPTCHA-based login protection are also available with the free service. Firewall rules update every seven days in the free version and every five minutes with Premium. Premium adds geo-blocking to restrict traffic from selected countries, plus WordPress hardening controls.
- Apply hardening options such as blocking PHP execution in untrusted folders, disabling the file editor, or restricting plugin and theme installation.
- Review malware insights and hacked file details, then run an instant one-click cleanup when malware is identified.
- Use automatic cleanups, with no stated limit on the number of cleanups.
Starting a cleanup requires access to the site's server files through FTP, SFTP, or SSH. Cleanup time varies with site size.
Manage connected websites and client work
MalCare's site-management tools bring connected websites into a central dashboard. They include plugin and theme management, user and team management, site-down notifications, and Performance Check for monitoring loading speed. Uptime notifications require the site to have been added and the plugin installed before it goes down.
Agencies can use the paid white-label option and generate reports for clients. Premium users receive personalized support through email and chat; forum support is listed for the free service.
Connect a site to get started
Install the MalCare WordPress plugin, create an account, and connect the site to MalCare servers. From the dashboard, review scan results, security alerts, firewall activity, and site information. If a scan identifies malware, check the affected file details and use the available cleanup tools.
