LoginWP PRO for WordPress Login Redirects
The redirect after a WordPress login depends on which rule matches the account. LoginWP PRO adds page-context placeholders and integrations to LoginWP, which can direct individual visitors, users with specific roles or capabilities, and users without a more specific rule. You can also set a destination after registration.

Account rules and fallback destinations
Create rules for the users or groups that need their own destination. A role rule can send a group to a role-specific page, while an individual rule can direct a selected account elsewhere. A general rule covers users who do not match a more specific rule.
URLs built from login context
LoginWP can create a dynamic destination at login with {{username}}, {{user_slug}}, and {{website_url}}. LoginWP PRO adds {{current_page}} and {{previous_page}}. The current-page placeholder can return users to the page they were logging in from; the previous-page placeholder uses the previous, or referrer, page after authentication.
Custom checks and supported integrations
You can add your own code logic before and between the extension’s normal redirect checks. Examples include redirecting a user according to their IP address or sending them to a special page on their first login.
LoginWP PRO works with redirect workflows with these registration, login, membership, learning, and ecommerce add-ons and forms:
- Redirect After First Login
- WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, and Restrict Content Pro
- Gravity Forms and WPForms
- LearnDash, Uncanny Toolkit, LifterLMS, Tutor LMS, LearnPress, and Paid Memberships Pro
- ProfilePress, MemberPress, MemberMouse, Ultimate Member, and WishList Member
- WP User Manager, WP User Frontend, Theme My Login, and User Registration by WPEverest
- Elementor, BuddyBoss Theme, and Divi Theme login or registration forms
Configure and check redirect behavior
First identify the users or conditions that need a dedicated destination. Add rules for specific users, roles, capabilities, or unmatched users, then set a post-registration destination if needed. Add URL placeholders when the destination should use account or page details. For advanced conditions, place custom code logic before or between the normal redirect checks. If a supported integration is in use, connect its login or registration form to the redirect workflow.
Configure destinations in the plugin settings after adding LoginWP PRO. LoginWP uses WordPress’s standard login_redirect hook. If a redirect does not work, another plugin may be using that hook first, or a custom login form may not use WordPress’s standard login functions.
