Extended Coupon Features for WooCommerce PRO adds automatic discount rules to the WooCommerce Edit Coupon panel, where coupon conditions are configured. When a cart meets a coupon’s restrictions, the add-on can add the coupon automatically. If the cart later stops meeting them, the coupon is silently removed. A descriptive message can be shown when an automatic discount is applied.

Eligibility rules and cart changes

• Restrict coupons to selected customer roles or a shipping zone.
• Allow a coupon only for a customer’s first purchase.
• Add free products to the cart according to coupon rules.
• Apply a cart discount based on the quantity or subtotal of matching products.

Automatic coupon priorities can be set, which is useful when working with coupons marked "Individual Use Only."

When a $50 cart earns a $5 discount

Create a coupon and choose Cart discount on the General tab. Set the coupon amount to $5.00. Then open Usage restrictions, enter a minimum spend of $50.00, and enable Auto coupon. The discount applies when the cart reaches the required amount and is removed if the restrictions are no longer met.

When a coupon is applied through a URL

A coupon can be applied through a URL using the apply_coupon and fill_cart parameters. The URL must point to a WooCommerce page, such as a product loop, cart, or product detail page, and the cart must contain at least one product. The PRO version can also remember the coupon and apply it when the cart later contains a product.

Developer and translation support

An API is available for developers who need to use the extension’s functions. String values can be translated through the supplied POT, PO, and MO files. In WPML, translatable entries appear in the woocommerce-jos-autocoupon context under String Translations. The plugin has also been tested in combination with WP-Multilang.

Install on a supported WordPress stack

Install and activate the PRO edition on a WordPress site running WooCommerce, then configure coupon rules in the WooCommerce Edit Coupon panel. Documented minimum requirements are WordPress 5.0, WooCommerce 5.0, and PHP 7.0. Recommended versions are WordPress 6.8 or newer, WooCommerce 9.0 or newer, and PHP 8.2 or newer.
