What premium plans add
Groundhogg brings CRM and marketing automation into a WordPress site. The core add-on is available free; premium plans add support and access to premium extensions and integrations, with monthly and yearly settings at a flat rate. Groundhogg states that contacts, flows and sent emails have no caps on free or paid use.
The system is aimed at businesses, agencies, WordPress developers, freelancers, course creators and CRM implementation providers. Because it runs in WordPress, contact data is managed within that environment.
Use contact data to shape communication
Organize contacts and build segments using tags, custom fields, activity and purchase history. Connected add-ons can add information to contact entries and provide more criteria for searches. The contact timeline can show flow runs, browsing sessions, email opens and clicks.
Send a saved or one-off email to an individual contact, or schedule a broadcast for a list or segment. Broadcasts appear in a calendar, can be canceled and have open and click reports. Reporting also covers flow results, conversions and, with ecommerce integration, marketing revenue.
Automate follow-up with flows
Use the Flow Editor to build communication paths with triggers, branches, split tests and timers. Flows can start from events such as form submissions, payments or new visitors. A built-in simulator lets you test a flow before publishing it. When you publish changes that remove steps, you can choose what happens to contacts waiting at those steps.
Groundhogg also works with AI agents that can work with contacts, emails, broadcasts and flows. Agent actions follow the same capability and per-object permission checks as other Groundhogg actions. The agent setup is available in Tools on WordPress 6.9 or later to users who can manage options. Incoming Messages, which saves email replies to contact records, requires an active Groundhogg license.
Extend records, email and sales workflows
Premium extensions include Custom Fields, Custom SMTP, Advanced Email Preferences, Superlinks, Lead Scoring, Booking Calendars, Social Proof Popups, Signed Contracts, Birthday Automation, Company Management and a Sales Pipeline. These can add contact details, email controls and utilities for marketing or sales processes.
Listed integrations include LifterLMS, LearnDash, BuddyBoss, GiveWP, Easy Digital Downloads, WooCommerce, HelpScout, Elementor, Amazon Web Services, SendGrid, AffiliateWP, ThriveCart and WPForms. Depending on the connection, course, community, donation, ecommerce, support, page-building, email delivery, affiliate, checkout or form activity can inform CRM workflows.
Email delivery depends on site configuration
Groundhogg uses the mail solution configured for WordPress. A transactional email service is recommended because messages sent without one may land in spam. Custom SMTP and integrations such as SendGrid or Amazon Web Services can support different email setups.
