Configure the checkout flow

Fluid Checkout PRO is a paid WooCommerce edition that extends Fluid Checkout’s multi-step and single-step checkout layouts. Designed for mobile devices and larger screens, the checkout can follow the style of the website. In a multi-step flow, customers can enter shipping details before billing; a single-step layout shows the fields together.

Customers can reveal optional fields when needed, and checkout fields are validated as information is entered. Customer details can be saved between page refreshes and return visits, while payment information is not saved. Returning customers can skip steps when all required details have been entered and validated, review or change their information, and log in without leaving checkout. Keyboard-only navigation and screen reader support are included.

PRO controls for checkout and orders

Choose from the Classic, Boxed, Split, and Minimalist design templates. Customers can change quantities or remove products at checkout. Cart page options include AJAX-processed updates, cross-sells, a coupon field, and a layout consistent with checkout.

Order details can use a consistent layout on the order received page and account order views. The Order Pay page can display order details for customers to review before payment. PRO also lets you place express checkout buttons from popular payment methods at the top of checkout and choose additional positions for the coupon code field.

Address and phone options

Move the billing address earlier in the form or combine billing and shipping into one address section. When a local pickup shipping method is selected, the shipping address can be hidden. International phone fields on checkout and account pages can be formatted and validated based on the selected country.

Gift options let customers add a message to an order for printing with packing slips generated by supported invoice and packing slip add-ons. Trust symbols, such as accepted payment methods, security badges, reviews, and testimonials, can be placed in checkout widget areas.

Customization and add-ons

Settings control the layout and available features. Template documents, filters, and action hooks allow further customization.

The PRO Bundle plan includes all PRO features and add-ons. Listed add-ons include Google Address Autocomplete for WooCommerce, which can search for addresses and autofill checkout fields using Google APIs; Address book, for saving multiple customer addresses; and EU-VAT Assistant, for collecting and validating EU VAT numbers and supporting reverse-charge tax processes.

Setup

Install Fluid Checkout PRO on the WooCommerce site where you want to configure checkout. Select a layout and adjust the available settings, design options, and features. If your plan includes add-ons, configure them for the store’s checkout requirements. Review the flow on mobile and larger screens before making it available to customers.
