Podcast Importer Pro is the Pro edition of Podcast Importer SecondLine. It imports podcast episodes from RSS feeds into regular WordPress posts or an existing custom post type. Configure separate feeds for multiple shows, each with its own destination and schedule.

Choose where episode data goes

Pro supports importing to any Custom Post Type or Custom Taxonomy. It can also import feed categories and tags, transcripts included in the RSS feed, audio players into custom fields, and featured images. Automatic native or embedded audio player imports are supported for providers including Buzzsprout, Megaphone, Pinecast, Captivate, Transistor, Spotify for Creators, Simplecast, Podbean, Whooshkaa, Omny, Ausha, Spreaker, Beamly, Audioboom, Fireside and Libsyn, among others.

Keep feeds updated

Create unlimited scheduled imports for podcasts or shows, with specific intervals or times for individual feeds. Continuous importing can add future episodes to WordPress as they appear in a feed. Use the manual Sync button for an on-demand update, or force a re-sync of existing episodes to refresh their metadata. A global featured picture can be applied to all imported episodes.

Rerunning an import does not create the same post twice. Large feeds, especially when importing featured images, may need several runs to finish. Delete an import entry to disable its schedule.

Set up an import

1. Install and activate Podcast Importer SecondLine in WordPress.
2. In the dashboard, open Tools > Podcast Importer SecondLine and make a new import.
3. Enter a valid podcast RSS feed, then choose the destination content type, taxonomy, categories, featured picture behavior and other available settings.
4. If future episodes should import automatically, enable continuous importing before running the import.
5. Review the imported episodes. Use manual Sync when you need an on-demand update, and configure other feeds separately as needed.
