How layers respond to playback and viewer rules
Pro layers include CTA banners, hotspots, ad layers, and shortcode layers. Set a timestamp for a layer to appear and a duration after which it hides. Conditional rules can display or hide a layer based on whether a viewer is logged in, is a FluentCRM contact, has a particular CRM tag or list, has submitted an email, matches a URL query parameter, or has already seen or completed a layer. Choose whether any rule or all rules must match.
Timed Content uses a WordPress block region below the player that changes with playback. Assign blocks to time ranges; the region can contain a Fluent Forms form, a button, text, or another WordPress block. The player also has native Fluent Forms and email-capture layers. Forms configured with payment fields can collect payments in the video, and captured contacts can flow to FluentCRM automations.
How source and presentation choices shape playback
The player supports self-hosted video, YouTube, Vimeo, and audio. Pro adds BunnyCDN Stream, BunnyCDN Storage, Mux, external URLs, and HLS streaming. You can group videos into standard or grid playlists, customize their colors, borders, typography, and box shadows, and use media tags to organize a growing library.
Pro adds custom subtitles, YouTube subtitle import, text and button overlays, and Remember Playback Position, which resumes a video where a viewer left off. It also adds the Ambient preset and customizable presets. Other player controls include custom branding, poster images, title overlays, playback speed, chapters, aspect ratio options, language switching, and HTML5 floating Picture-in-Picture.
How to add a player in WordPress
Add FluentPlayer with its Gutenberg block or use a generated shortcode in the classic editor or a page builder. The Load Strategy setting controls when the player script loads and can defer videos below the fold. AJAX compatibility is included. FluentPlayer also integrates with FluentCommunity for videos in community spaces and lessons.
