New User Approve Pro: WordPress Registration Controls
New User Approve Pro adds registration controls for WordPress membership sites, communities, online stores, and private portals. When someone signs up, administrators receive an email alert and can approve or deny the account. The visitor is emailed the outcome. Approved customers receive their login details and can access the site; pending and denied users cannot log in. Existing users are approved automatically when the plugin is installed, and administrators can change account statuses or search users by status.
Registration decisions determine who can log in

Set rules for each signup route
Pro offers several ways to manage registration and approval:
- Manual review: Review each new account and decide whether to approve or deny it.
- Invitations: Enable invite-only registration. Add invitation codes manually, generate them in bulk, email them, or import them. Codes can have usage limits and expiry dates; a valid code can automatically approve its registration.
- Email domains: Automatically approve registrations from trusted domains and blacklist generic or suspicious domains.
- User roles: Automatically approve selected roles through the plugin options.
- Registration deadlines: Close registration at a set date or time, or after a specified number of signups. People with a valid invitation code can still register after the limit.
- Email notifications: Customize messages for users and administrators, use HTML formatting, and suppress denial notices if preferred.
For an open community, administrators can review every signup. A private portal can use invite-only registration and expiring codes, while trusted-domain rules can automatically approve selected registrations.
Approved users can request role changes
Approved users can submit a role-change request through a shortcode or account page. Administrators manage requests in a dedicated area.
Approval events can trigger other services
Extended Zapier triggers cover users who become approved, denied, pending, or automatically approved through a role, domain, or invitation code. These events can connect with services such as Gmail, Sheets, and Slack.
Review accounts from a mobile app
The dedicated mobile app lets administrators view complete user profiles, approve or deny registrations with a tap, and receive push notifications about new signups.
Configure the registration workflow
Install and activate New User Approve in WordPress, then configure approval settings, notifications, invitation settings, deadlines, and role-request behavior to match the site's registration process. The documentation covers installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
