Export Media as ZIP Premium creates ZIP archives from selected images and supported files in the WordPress media library. Filter images by upload year and size, then check the live image count before exporting.

Choose images and documents

The Year filter lists years with image uploads and shows a count for each. Select one or more years to narrow the image selection. Supported image formats are JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WEBP.

Choose Full Size for the original upload, or select intermediate sizes registered by WordPress core, the active theme, or plugins. Options may include Thumbnail, Medium, Large, and custom sizes. Only selected sizes are included. If an intermediate file was not generated for an image, it is skipped.

Premium exports can also include PDF, Word (.doc and .docx), Excel (.xls and .xlsx), and PowerPoint (.ppt and .pptx) files. Documents are included at their original file size; the Image Size filter applies only to images.

Run an export or set a schedule

A standard export shows a real-time progress bar while it runs. For larger selections, enable Run in background to queue the job for chunked processing through WP-Cron. The browser tab can close while processing continues, and an email is sent when the ZIP is ready. The emailed download link is valid for 24 hours.

For repeated exports, choose a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule, set the Year, Image Size, and Document Type filters, and enter a recipient email address. Each scheduled execute processes in the background and emails a fresh download link.

Access and downloads

Only users with the manage_options capability, normally administrators, can access the export page. ZIP files use protected storage and authenticated downloads. The add-on has no external dependencies.
