Events Search & Filter Bar Pro extends search and filtering on sites using The Events Calendar. The calendar continues to manage events; Pro helps visitors find listings by more than their titles.

When an event archive grows into a long list, keyword search can match event descriptions, venue names and organizer names as well as event titles. Visitors can also narrow results by category, tag, venue or organizer. The location filter uses the city, state or region, and country recorded for event venues.

Where do the filters and results appear?

Additional filters can sit behind a Filters button or remain visible below the main bar. Choose pill, dropdown or filled styles for the filter triggers. Search submissions can display matching events on the same page or go to a dedicated events search results page.

The underlying bar also supports date presets for Today, Tomorrow, This weekend, This week, Next week, This month and Next month, along with custom date ranges. Filtered views can be shared through URLs that retain the search, date range, sort and page.

How does Pro change the event page?

The Modern card design places a date badge on the event picture. For The Events Calendar’s List view, the full takeover option replaces the list with the bar and its event results, rather than only replacing the calendar controls.

What stays compatible?

Pro uses the same shortcodes, settings and CSS class names as the earlier version. Existing shortcodes from version 1.x remain accepted, with older layout, show-events, disable-past-events and content-type attributes mapped onto the newer engine.

How do you set it up?

Use Pro with either the free or Pro edition of The Events Calendar. Add the search bar and results areas with the add-on’s shortcodes, then choose the filters, placement, results destination and card design in the settings. To take over the full events page, enable the List view replacement in those settings.
