Combine an image mark with text
Each image can have one image watermark and one text watermark, used separately or together. Image watermarks can be JPG, PNG, or GIF files; PNG and GIF support transparency and alpha channels. Opacity can be set from 0 to 100% for JPG and GIF image watermarks and for text.
Text watermarks use TTF fonts and can include placeholders, such as the uploader’s name or upload date. Set the text color, size, angle, and position. Pro adds access to more font settings.
Position and size watermarks across image variants
Place either watermark in one of nine positions and fine-tune its location with horizontal and vertical offsets. The plugin can process WordPress image sizes such as thumbnail, medium, large, and fullsize, along with additional sizes registered by themes or add-ons.
Image watermarks have five scaling modes: None, Cover, Contain, Fit to Width, and Fit to Height. The watermark’s proportions are preserved. Fit to Width and Fit to Height can use percentage-based dimensions. With Scale down only enabled, scaling occurs only when the source image is smaller than the watermark.
Restore originals from backups
The plugin can back up images before watermarking. Restore an original from the attachment edit page using the Easy Watermark meta box, or use bulk actions on the Media page. Backups take additional server space because images are stored twice. Only the fullsize image is backed up; thumbnails are regenerated during restoration.
Images are not restored automatically when the plugin is uninstalled. The source recommends reinstalling the plugin and restoring images before removing it. If that is not possible, backup files can be accessed manually in the WordPress directory.
Install and configure
Install Easy Watermark Pro as a WordPress plugin, then configure the watermark type, position, size, opacity, scaling, and text options before applying watermarks to uploads or existing media. The server must have the GD library installed and enabled.
