Duplicate Post RB Pro gives WordPress teams control over how posts, pages, and public custom post types are copied. Create a clone or a new draft, then use a saved profile to apply repeatable rules.

Choose what to copy and how to name it

Profiles can select the title, content, status, date, excerpt, slug, template, featured image, author, taxonomies, categories, tags, menu order, password, format, attachments, child pages, navigation menu, and post metadata. A global All Post Meta option copies all post meta fields at once. You can also exclude specific custom post types.

Set a prefix or suffix for copies and use placeholders such as [Counter], [CurrentDate], and [CurrentTime]. Profiles can define counter rules, date and time formats, and template and taxonomy behavior. A preview shows the resulting name. Import and export profiles to reuse them across projects or environments.

Run a profile from the editor, a list, or WP-CLI

Use the Copy button in Gutenberg, or add custom buttons for profiles to post and page lists. Buttons can have a label, color, and show type. An optional setting skips confirmation dialogs. The Quick Copy dialog lets you pick a profile and how many copies to make. Editors can review the source item, copy time, and profile in the duplication history widget.

WP-CLI works with duplication by post ID and profile. For example, wp rb-duplicate-post duplicate 10,22,45 duplicates the specified items, and wp rb-duplicate-post profiles lists saved profiles. Pro also supports cross-website copying in WordPress Multisite through the copy dialog or WP-CLI with --target-blog.

Carry structured content into each copy

Advanced Custom Fields integration copies field values, field groups assigned to posts and post types, ACF-based custom post types, and taxonomies created through ACF. Pro also supports copying data from WooCommerce, Elementor, WPBakery, and Jetpack. For cross-site Multisite copies, Yoast SEO and Rank Math data can come along with the post.

Set up network and automatic processes

On a Multisite network, Pro can copy posts, pages, and products to another site. Categories and tags are created on the target site. Images can be copied into that site's media library, including images referenced in the content, or set to keep pointing to the source site's media library.

Auto copy rules can duplicate a post when it is first published, using a profile to copy it to the current site or another site in the network. Pro's Assistant can rewrite or translate a copy and write its excerpt, SEO title, or SEO description using Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok with your own API key. Cleanup can find posts with matching titles or matching titles and content. Scheduled cleanup can remove duplicate drafts; optional 301 redirects for removed duplicates require the RB Links Redirection add-on.

Manage duplication access and placement

Global Settings let administrators choose which roles can duplicate content, including Super Admins, Administrators, Editors, Authors, and Contributors. Choose where Copy and Duplicate actions appear in the admin interface, or move the extension menu to Tools. Configure settings and profiles for your workflow, then let editors use the available buttons or WP-CLI commands.
