Custom Permalinks Premium for Custom WordPress URLs
Custom Permalinks Premium pairs individual URL paths with generated permalink structures for WordPress content. When a custom path replaces an item's original URL, the original address redirects to the new one. Premium includes prioritized one-on-one email support for implementation questions.

Choose the URL inputs
Enter a path in the Custom Permalink field when editing a post, page, category, tag, public custom post type, or custom taxonomy term. For posts and pages, the field appears near the top of the editor or in its sidebar. Custom permalink lists let you search and bulk delete saved paths.
Build a structure from tags
In the Custom Permalinks dashboard menu, define a structure for each public post type. Leave its structure empty to keep that post type's WordPress default. New content uses the structure's tags, and you can still edit an individual path by hand.
Tags can add year, month, day, hour, minute, or second values, as well as a post ID, category slug, author username, or post slug. The category tag can create nested URL directories for subcategories. The author tag uses the author's login name, making that username visible in the URL.
%postname% uses the post or page title as a slug. %title% can update the generated slug when the title changes while the post is a draft. Once the post is published or its permalink is edited manually, automatic updates stop for that post. Parent-page tags add the immediate parent slug or all selected parent slugs. Custom taxonomy tags can use term slugs or names, including parent terms. Developers can define custom tags with the custom_permalinks_post_permalink_tag filter.
Check the result and its dependencies
After saving a custom path, confirm that it opens the intended content and that the original address redirects to it. A duplicate path will not be applied. WordPress permalinks must not be set to Plain, and another SEO or redirection add-on can conflict if it has a rule for the same URL.
The extension supports WPML and Polylang, with a separate custom permalink for each translation, and accepts non-Latin scripts. A dedicated Custom Permalinks Manager role lets selected non-administrators view or edit permalinks. Developers can also use filters and actions to adjust permalink generation, sanitizing, and redirects.
