Media Library Organizer Pro adds folder-based organization and media management controls to the WordPress Media Library. Create unlimited folders and subfolders, move individual files or bulk selections with drag and drop, and select a default folder for new uploads.

Choose how files are grouped and found

Sort files by upload date, modified date, ID, author, and other available criteria. Search by alt text, filename, caption, or description with match-type options, then combine filters to narrow results. Folder search and filtering work in the Featured Image, Media Library List, and Grid views, as well as in page builders and ACF. Adjust grid size and column count, and choose what information appears in the folder tree.

Set upload behavior and manage files

AI image categorization uses visual recognition to categorize pictures. The smart upload workflow can display folder selection and metadata editing fields during upload. Default attribute rules apply predefined attributes automatically, and you can duplicate a file with one click.

For ZIP workflows, upload entire folders and make folders from the archive’s folder structure, or automatically extract and organize ZIP contents. Create ZIP archives from selected media files, or export individual folders or the complete Media Library as ZIP files for file handling and backup workflows.

Control metadata and classification

Set default alt text, captions, and descriptions by file type, with dynamic tags in attribute settings. Configure how uploads appear on your website, including links, sizes, and alignment. Edit EXIF and IPTC image metadata, and create custom taxonomies to classify media beyond folders.

Extend the WordPress [gallery] shortcode to create dynamic galleries. Image optimization settings let you enable compression, choose custom quality levels, and automatically convert uploaded images to WebP.

Import and compatibility

Import from other WordPress Media Library extensions to migrate an existing organization. The extension is compatible with popular page builders, themes, and WordPress plugins.
