Algori PDF Viewer Premium adds a Gutenberg block for displaying PDFs in WordPress posts and pages. Visitors can read and interact with documents on your website without browser extensions such as Flash or Adobe Acrobat. The viewer is described as supporting modern browsers and devices running Windows, iOS, Linux, and Android.

Configure the viewer

Premium lets you enable or disable PDF viewer settings and change the viewer theme color. In the free edition, the listed viewer features are enabled by default and cannot be disabled.

Available controls include next and previous page navigation, zoom in and out, fit-to-page, and restore normal zoom. Visitors can rotate documents clockwise or counterclockwise, use presentation mode, and choose the hand or text selection tool. Text search works with general and match-case searches with highlights. An expandable, collapsible document outline and keyboard shortcuts provide additional ways to navigate. Printing and downloading are available when those viewer options are enabled.

You can place multiple PDFs on one page and choose left, right, wide, or full-width alignment. Viewer text is translatable into more than 100 languages.

Add a PDF in Gutenberg

1. Install and activate Algori PDF Viewer Premium in WordPress.
2. Open a post or page in the Gutenberg editor.
3. Add the PDF Viewer block and use it to add, embed, and show a PDF.
4. Adjust the document width and height in the Gutenberg block inspector.
5. Configure the available viewer settings and theme color, then publish the page.

Editor and compatibility

The plugin works with Gutenberg and is intended for themes optimized for that editor. It does not work with other page builders.
