Advanced Woo Search PRO extends WooCommerce search so shoppers can find products through live AJAX results as they type or on the store’s search results page. PRO adds more searchable product data and result types to the standard fields.

Product data and the results it can return

The standard add-on searches product titles, content, short descriptions, categories, tags, IDs and SKUs, and supports variable products. PRO can also search attribute values such as color and size, including custom attributes; taxonomy terms such as brands; custom fields, including fields created with ACF; and product identifiers such as GTIN, UPC, EAN and ISBN.

Results are ordered by relevance. The score can reflect the source where a term appears, its position, how often it appears, and whether the match is full or partial.

Search terms, matching rules and suggestions

Switch between AND logic, which returns products containing all query words, and OR logic, which can return products containing any of them. PRO also offers exact search for full-word matches. Automatic suggestions depend on the current query.

Search settings include support for singular and plural forms, synonyms, stop words and misspelling correction. Search terms can be highlighted in results.

Result display and form placement

Choose which product details appear in results, including images, prices, descriptions, SKUs, categories, tags, attributes, ratings and stock status. PRO adds an Add To Cart button, various result and search-form layouts, filters for product, archive-page and user results, and tabs with separate search options. You can make separate search forms with their own settings, pick an image source, set product visibility and stock-status rules, and limit the number of results.

Add a search form with a widget, page-builder module or shortcode such as [aws_search_form]. Search forms can also replace existing forms through the seamless integration option. The search results page uses the store’s current theme layout.

Store integrations and initial setup

PRO includes marketplace integrations for WCFM, Dokan and MultiVendorX. The add-on also supports WPML, Polylang, WooCommerce Multilingual, qTranslate and GTranslate, along with page builders including Gutenberg, Elementor, Beaver Builder, WPBakery, Breakdance Builder, Bricks Builder, Oxygen Builder, Divi Builder, Avada Builder and Flatsome UX Builder. Google Analytics support can send search events for tracking.

After installing and activating the plugin, open its settings and execute the initial table reindex. Wait for indexing to finish, then choose search sources and result options and add a search form to the store. Product data changes synchronize automatically after the initial indexing.
