Build ads from your campaign content
Advanced Ads Pro extends the Advanced Ads WordPress ad manager. Create ads and groups using advertising code, image banners, affiliate promotions, direct-sold ads, rich content, or HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Supported networks and programs include Google AdSense, Amazon, Google Ad Manager, Ezoic, media.net, Booking.com, and Awin. AdSense formats include text and display, native In-article, In-feed, and Multiplex ads, Auto ads, and Auto ads for AMP.
Rotate ads within groups, set start and expiration times, and compare ads with split tests. Advanced Ads Pro includes cache-busting, lazy loading, ad refresh, click fraud protection, parallax ads, and an ad blocker module.
Choose how ads reach each page
Automatic placements can insert ads after paragraphs, headlines, images, or other HTML elements, or at the top or bottom of content. Other placement settings include sidebars, widgets, footers, and positions before the closing head tag. For a specific spot, use a shortcode or PHP function in a post, widget, or template. This gives you a choice between letting placement rules handle insertion and specifying the location yourself.
Display conditions can use individual posts, pages, post types, categories, tags, taxonomies, authors, post age, archives, the front page, attachment pages, and 404 pages. Ads can also be hidden in feeds, on secondary queries, or from bots and web crawlers. Advanced Ads Pro adds keyword and URL parameter targeting.
Set the audience and schedule
Visitor conditions can show or conceal ads according to device, logged-in status, user role, geolocation, referrer, capability, browser language, ad blocker, IP address, browser, or browser width. Pro also works with time-of-day targeting and frequency capping. Responsive image ads can be shown to mobile, tablet, desktop, or selected browser sizes.
Use the ad blocker module to target visitors who use an ad blocker and show them alternative content, fallback ads, overlays, or redirects. Privacy options can hold ads that require consent until a visitor gives it, and non-personalized AdSense ads can be served where allowed.
Confirm impressions and clicks
The separate Tracking add-on counts impressions and clicks for ads and ad groups. Choose to store the numbers in the WordPress database or send them to Google Analytics. Local tracking reports can be filtered by date range, ad, or ad group, including affiliate ads.
Other add-ons provide AMP support, Google Ad Manager integration, sticky ads, popups and layers, interstitials, geo targeting, and ad sales. Advanced Ads can generate an ads.txt file with AdSense information and works with affiliate plugins such as Pretty Links, ThirstyAffiliates, and Lasso.
Set up a campaign
Install Advanced Ads, create an ad unit, and select its content. Select an automatic placement or use a shortcode, function, or widget; then add display and visitor conditions, set campaign dates, and configure rotation or other Pro utilities as needed. Activate individual add-ons from Advanced Ads settings when your workflow requires them.
