Choose CSS hiding or PHP filtering
The CSS method registers styles that hide information contained in the theme’s metadata class. This changes what appears on the page, while the details may remain in page source. If they are still visible, check the class used by your theme and adjust the supplied CSS in the add-on settings or WordPress plugin editor.
The PHP method filters results from functions such as get_date() and get_time(). It removes metadata from page source and is an alternative when CSS does not produce the desired result. The settings let you apply removal on the frontend, in backend page source, or in both places.
Target specific content with Pro
The Pro Visual Remover includes a visual editor for hiding or removing content from WordPress pages. It also includes:
- Support for custom post types.
- Category exclusions.
- Individual post controls.
- An option to remove dates only from older posts.
- Yoast SEO schema options to remove
datePublishedanddateModified.
These controls let you apply various settings to selected posts or categories instead of using the same choice across all content.
Deprecated custom snippet
The custom snippet feature is marked deprecated. It provides a function managed from the settings that can be wrapped around code in theme HTML. Treat this as an older customization path.
Install and check the result
After activating the plugin, choose whether removal applies to the frontend, backend page source, or both, then save your settings. If information remains visible, check your theme’s metadata CSS class and adjust the supplied CSS. Search engines may take time to reflect changes; you can resubmit your sitemap in webmaster utilities.
