WP Edit Pro extends WP Edit with controls for arranging all rows of editor buttons, setting layouts by user role, installing across a WordPress network, and creating custom widgets. Administrators configure the editor; contributors receive the button arrangement assigned to their role. The widget builder lets editors prepare reusable content for placement in widget areas or the content editor.

Configure editor rows and roles
Use drag-and-drop controls to arrange buttons across every editor toolbar row. Administrators can assign different arrangements to different user roles, giving contributors access to controls suited to their editing tasks.
The broader WP Edit editor includes utilities for inserting images, media, YouTube videos, and clip art. It supports graphical table creation, including changes to cell borders and background colors. Other available buttons include subscript, superscript, emoticons, search and replace, an HTML editor, and preview.
Create and place custom widgets
The Extreme Custom Widget Builder makes custom widgets through an editing interface similar to posts or pages. Place a widget in any widget area or insert it into the content editor to reuse prepared material where it is needed.
Other WP Edit content tools
The broader WP Edit functionality delivers access to shortcodes available in the WordPress environment, including shortcodes for columns and magazine-style layouts. It supports external media such as YouTube and Vimeo, along with adjustments to fonts, styles, colors, and sizes. Editor access can also be added to excerpt areas and profile descriptions, and shortcodes can be enabled in excerpts and widget areas. Other settings include highlighting admin posts and pages by status and importing or exporting plugin options.
Installation
Install WP Edit Pro in WordPress, arrange the editor button rows with drag-and-drop controls, configure role-based layouts as needed, then create widgets for use in widget areas or the content editor.
