UpdraftCentral Premium Cloud is the hosted version of UpdraftCentral. Its dashboard is hosted and maintained for you, bringing site information and routine administration into one place. Review system information and updates across connected websites on one screen, or open a site's WordPress dashboard with a single click.

Central backup and update controls

Manage UpdraftPlus backups centrally: start a backup, view or edit backup settings, check available backups, download or delete them, and initiate a restore. You can also manage UpdraftVault storage from the dashboard.

Review WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates across connected sites, then carry out updates according to filters. Easy Updates Manager lets you control update policies. The dashboard can also remotely control WP-Optimize for database cleaning.

Administration across sites

• Run Google Analytics for an overview of key performance indicators across sites.
• Manage comments and users across connected sites, with various access levels for users.
• Create tags to organize websites into categories.
• Activate, deactivate, or delete plugins on one or more websites. Install plugins from the WordPress add-on directory and activate them automatically.
• Manage themes, select and set a default theme, and install themes from the WordPress theme directory on one or more websites.

Interface and connections

The interface is a dynamic, single-page JavaScript application that runs in front-end full-screen mode. It avoids frequent page refreshes and keeps the WordPress dashboard out of the way during routine work. Where possible, communications go directly from the browser. Connections between sites are RSA encrypted and signed, and each connection has a unique key pair.

The interface is responsive and mobile-ready. UpdraftCentral is extensible and developer friendly, with broad use of WordPress hooks and JavaScript documentation through JSDoc. UpdraftCentral can also run on localhost, allowing its dashboard website to remain off the public Internet.

Set up the hosted dashboard

1. Access UpdraftCentral Premium Cloud.
2. Install UpdraftPlus on each WordPress site you want to manage.
3. Connect those sites to the central dashboard.
4. Use the dashboard to review sites, backups, updates, and administration tools from one location.
