Custom messages and colors

Advanced Custom Stock Status lets WooCommerce stores set colored stock messages globally or for individual products. The PRO edition adds the ability to create and use custom statuses, set stock status by category, and display a message based on product quantity.

PRO controls for products and variations

• Bulk edit stock statuses across products, including variable products.
• Hide variable product stock status on category pages when needed.
• Use a matching variation status in category listings.
• Set category-level messages for product groups with different availability wording.

Where stock information appears

Show custom messages on product details pages and in shop listings, including listings for grouped products. The add-on also works with the WooCommerce product collection block, cart and checkout displays, and backorder messaging in order confirmations.

Display settings include custom status colors, a font-size setting, and moving the stock status below the add-to-cart button on a single product page. You can hide the sad face for out-of-stock products and show or hide the “Stock Status” tag before custom stock text in order emails.

Shortcodes for status details

The woo_custom_stock_status shortcode displays the custom stock status. The wcss_learn_more shortcode can add a learn-more link after the status. Use wcss_delivery_date to add a delivery date based on a number of days, with excluded days such as weekends.

The PRO edition includes WPML compatibility. Advanced Custom Stock Status also lists compatibility with WooCommerce Product Bundles, WPC Composite Products for WooCommerce, AutomateWoo, block-based cart and checkout pages, OceanWP, YITH WooCommerce Wishlist, WP All Import, Yoast SEO, Polylang, PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce, and Force Sell by BeRocket PRO.

Set up stock messaging

Install Advanced Custom Stock Status and add the PRO edition to your WordPress website. Open the custom stock settings, create or choose statuses, set colors and display preferences, then assign them to products, categories, or quantity rules. Review product and shop pages before publishing the changes.
