Datafeedr Comparison Sets generates price comparison sets for WooCommerce products and wherever WordPress shortcodes are supported. It is intended for personal use and requires the Datafeedr API Plugin, an active subscription to the API Starter Plan or Basic Plan, and affiliate networks and merchants selected in the API add-on.

API plans and usage

The documented comparison-set workflow applies to both plans; no separate capabilities are specified for each. Generating or updating one set requires 2 to 6 API requests. Plugin guidance asks API Starter Plan subscribers to consider the Basic Plan when planning for this usage.

Choose where comparisons appear

WooCommerce products

In WordPress Admin Area > Datafeedr API > Comparison Sets > Integrations, enable the WooCommerce option and save. A comparison set is generated when a product is viewed for the first time after the integration is enabled. This does not generate sets for every product immediately.

Shortcodes

Add a shortcode to a post, page, or another area that supports WordPress shortcodes. Look up products by name, with an optional brand, and set a custom title when needed:

Shortcodes also support EAN, ASIN, and UPC identifiers. Use the filters attribute to narrow results by currency, Amazon locale, image availability, sale status, direct URL, sale or final price limits, merchant ID, or network ID. The [dfrcs_wc] shortcode is available for WooCommerce single product pages.

Amazon product options

To include Amazon products, enter the Amazon Access Key ID, Secret Access Key, Tracking ID, and Locale under Datafeedr API > Configuration > Amazon Settings, then save. Next, open the Comparison Sets settings, set Cache Lifetime to 86400, and save the changes.

Installation and requirements

• PHP 7.4 or greater
• MySQL 5.6 or greater
• WordPress memory limit of 256 MB or greater
• Datafeedr API Plugin and HTTPS support

First install and activate the Datafeedr API Plugin, then select affiliate networks and merchants in it. Upload the datafeedr-comparison-sets folder to /wp-content/add-ons/ and activate Datafeedr Comparison Sets from the WordPress Plugins menu. Configure it under WordPress Admin Area > Datafeedr API > Comparison Sets, then enable the WooCommerce integration or add shortcodes where you want comparisons to appear.
