What ARVE Pro adds
ARVE Pro is a paid add-on for Advanced Responsive Video Embedder, a WordPress add-on for responsive video embeds across many hosts and formats. It adds controls for video presentation, playback, provider settings, and video information.
Add and size video embeds
Use a provider URL on its own line, a WordPress embed shortcode, or ARVE’s concise shortcode format. Set a maximum width and alignment, then use an automatically detected or custom aspect ratio. Responsive embeds use CSS rather than JavaScript.
ARVE works with the Classic Editor, Block Editor, and Elementor. The Classic Editor’s Embed Video button helps create ARVE shortcodes. In the Block Editor, use Embed, YouTube, Vimeo, Shortcode, or the ARVE Block. Elementor visitors can use an ARVE widget covering the available capability set.
Choose how videos load and appear
Lazy loading displays an picture instead of the complete video player when a page loads. A lightbox can open the video when a visitor clicks the preview; a simple link can also trigger a lightbox.
- Link handling: Disable links in embeds to help prevent users from following links to the hosting site.
- Playback: Auto pause pauses one video when another starts playing.
- Thumbnails and titles: Choose automatic or custom thumbnails, including responsive thumbnails using srcset. Add automatic or custom titles above thumbnails.
- Viewing controls: Expand on click for an expanded viewing interaction. Choose from two hover icon styles and three play icon styles.
- Sticky videos: Keep videos visible while scrolling, with top or corner positioning options.
Provider support and options
Custom URL parameters let you use options offered by individual providers. The add-on supports providers with iframe embed codes, including YouTube, Vimeo, Rumble, Odysee-related services, Kick, Twitch, TikTok, Facebook, Dailymotion, Wistia, Brightcove, Archive.org, Google Drive, TED Talks, and others. It also supports MP4 and WebM video files.
Video information and channel videos
Specify a video title, description, and upload date for schema.org data intended to help search engines index video content. ARVE Pro can autofill this information. You can also use a YouTube channel URL to display its latest video; the result is updated and cached hourly.
Installation and use
ARVE Pro can be used for video libraries, tutorials, product demonstrations, interviews, playlists, landing pages, and media-heavy articles. Lazy-load previews can reduce the amount of video content loaded at page view, while lightboxes and sticky positioning offer other viewing options.
After purchase, follow the three steps provided with the purchase receipt. The process includes downloading the arve-pro.zip file and installing it through the WordPress Admin panel. ARVE also delivers an AMP add-on for displaying ARVE embeds correctly on AMP pages.
