Sitemaps and structured data

SiteSEO supports XML sitemaps for posts, pages, post types, taxonomies, images, and authors, plus an HTML sitemap. PRO adds Google News XML sitemaps for time-sensitive content and video sitemaps that describe video content for search engines. PRO also adds an RSS sitemap and Google Search Console search statistics.

Structured data helps search engines interpret website content, while breadcrumbs support user navigation. Local Business schema can describe details such as an address, opening hours, website, and phone number.

Technical settings and monitoring

Administrators can edit virtual robots.txt content and use shortcuts for common rules. The htaccess editor includes common rules for technical configuration. SiteSEO PRO also provides 404 monitoring and redirection, helping site owners review visits to missing pages and redirect them where appropriate.

IndexNow can notify participating search engines about content changes. Google’s Indexing API is limited to pages with JobPosting or BroadcastEvent in VideoObject. Custom tracking code for Google Tag Manager or Facebook Pixel can be added in the analytics settings, with fields for placement in the page head or body.

Setup

Install SiteSEO in WordPress and follow the setup wizard. Then review the metabox, sitemap and social settings, and select the PRO tools that fit the site. SiteSEO is compatible with WordPress multisite.
