PW WooCommerce Gift Cards Pro adds digital gift cards to a WooCommerce store. During purchase, clients pick an amount, enter the recipient’s email address, and write a message. The recipient gets an email with a gift card code and can redeem its balance at checkout without creating an account.

Set amounts and delivery

Stores can offer preset amounts or let customers choose an amount, with optional minimum and maximum limits. A default amount can be preselected. Customers can schedule when a card is delivered, and recipients can view the card as a PDF for printing.

Gift card emails use WooCommerce’s email template system. A link in the email can add the card to the cart automatically. The enhanced email designer adds customization options, including an picture. QR codes can be included in the email, the PDF, or both.

Redeem and manage balances

Gift cards work with the store theme during redemption. The balance is applied after tax, and the remaining balance appears on the cart and checkout pages. An optional shortcode creates a customer-facing balance page, where customers can also add funds to an existing card. Stores can configure the existing Apply Coupon field to accept gift card numbers.

In the administration area, store staff can review total gift card liability, inspect individual cards, and adjust balances. Import and export utilities move card balances. Expiration dates can be set automatically from the purchase date. Pro also supports importing existing card numbers and balances for physical gift card sales, and manually generating multiple cards with a specified amount and quantity.

Promote card purchases

Bonus Gift Cards let a store include an additional card with a gift card purchase. For example, a promotion could give a $5 card with the purchase of a $25 card.

Store setup and compatibility

One-click product creation includes a starting point for configuring gift card amounts, delivery, email presentation, balance behavior, expiration, and other Pro options. The plugin works with WooCommerce Blocks Cart and Checkout pages and High Performance Order Storage (HPOS). It is compatible with most add-ons, including WooCommerce Subscriptions and WooCommerce Pre-Orders.

Additional tools include a REST API that follows WordPress and WooCommerce REST API standards.
