Visitor access and connectivity
Visitors can see a banner for the app version of the website and add it to their device’s apps or home screen. Application icons can be customized, and the mobile PWA can open without browser toolbar components. Swipe navigation lets visitors move to previous and next articles.
The PWA version can load while a user is offline. After the connection returns, content can update; analytics can also update when the visitor comes back online.
Application and display options
Administrators manage app details and presentation in the WordPress dashboard. Settings include the start URL, application name and short name, device orientation, splash-screen background colors, and a customizable welcome splash screen. You can also choose a caching strategy for PWA-enabled assets, configure cache expiration, disable the scrollbar, and upload an application icon.
The Pro capability set includes multisite support, UTM tracking, and OneSignal support with multisite.
Installation and setup
Install PWA for WP Pro on the WordPress site where visitors need the progressive web app experience. In the extension settings, provide the application and short names, upload an icon, choose the start page, set orientation, configure splash-screen colors, and review the dashboard system status.
