PayHere checkout in WooCommerce
PayHere PREMIUM connects a WooCommerce store to the PayHere payment gateway. Customers can pay with Visa, MasterCard, Amex, eZcash, mCash, and Internet Banking services. Administrators manage the payment method in WooCommerce settings and can enable on-website checkout at WooCommerce Settings > Payments > PayHere > Manage.
Subscription checkout requirements
Supported subscription products can be checked out through the gateway. Each checkout can include only one subscription, and an order cannot contain both normal products and subscription products.
Trial and billing periods must be equal, and the trial length cannot be larger than one billing period. Synchronized subscriptions are not supported, and free trials cannot be processed.
Enable tokenized cards
Tokenized cards are available with a PayHere PREMIUM plan or a PayHere Sandbox account. To configure them, log in to the PayHere Merchant Account and open Settings > Business Apps > Create App. Generate an App ID and App Secret. Then open WooCommerce Settings > Payments > PayHere > Manage, select Enable Tokenizer, enter the App ID and App Secret, and save the settings.
After setup, customers can select Save Card during payment. On a later visit, they may be offered the option to pay with a saved card. Customers can manage saved cards at My Account > Saved Cards; an option to remove a card appears when saved cards are available. Administrators can view customers with pre-approved saved cards at WooCommerce > Cards on documents.
Install and configure the gateway
Install the PayHere Payment Gateway plugin in WordPress, then open PayHere under WooCommerce payments. A PayHere Merchant Account is required, and account applications are made through PayHere. Enable the payment method and configure on-website checkout or tokenization as needed.
If the plugin becomes deactivated after updating to version 2.0.*, go to WP-Admin > Plugins and reactivate the PayHere plugin.
