Map views and marker lists
Choose OpenStreetMap, Google Maps, Bing Maps, Mapbox, or a custom WMTS basemap. Set the size and zoom level for individual markers and layers. MapTiler basemaps can represent game maps, indoor spaces, photo maps, and other settings outside the real world.
- Choose from more than 1,000 customizable icons, upload custom icons, and manage an icon directory.
- Group markers with animated clustering. A dynamic marker list works with paging, searching, sorting, and distance from the current position.
- Add a marker list beneath a layer map, a minimap, or a home button that restores the original map view.
Routes and location discovery
Show directions through Google Maps or other supported routing services. Display GPX tracks with elevation charts and waypoints, and use geolocation with real-time show-and-follow updates. Location search supports MapQuest Geocoding, Google Geocoding, and Google Places. Maps can also appear in an augmented-reality browser and use optimized mobile viewports.
Data, integrations, and controls
Import and export GeoJSON for bulk marker additions and updates. Export marker data as KML, XLSX, XLS, CSV, or ODS, or let visitors subscribe to markers through GeoRSS. Configure up to 10 WMS servers to show external geodata. An API and MMPAPI class are available for integrations.
The plugin can generate a geo sitemap, add geo microformats and location meta tags, and create QR codes for standalone maps. Presentation controls include Google Maps styling, HTML5 fullscreen, keyboard navigation, a loading indicator, and a global basemap setting.
Multilingual websites and publishing
WPML and Polylang translation support can help organize multilingual maps. Backup and restore tools are available for settings. To publish a map, create its markers and layers, choose a basemap, configure the display, and add its shortcode to a post, page, widget, or template.
Maps can be used for travel destinations, property listings, local attractions, events, fieldwork, walking routes, business locations, and other collections of points of interest.
