Collect files through WordPress

Iptanus File Upload Professional adds front-end file submission to pages and posts with the [wordpress_file_upload] shortcode, or to a sidebar with its widget. Multiple shortcode instances can appear on the same page or post.

Configure the form and upload experience

Forms can collect checkboxes, text, email addresses, and dropdown selections alongside files. When file selection is optional, a form can collect contact details without requiring an upload.

The Professional edition works with multiple files and very large uploads beyond what the basic configuration is intended for. Visitors can add files by dragging and dropping them. If a connection is lost, a resumable upload can continue until the file is fully uploaded. CAPTCHA delivers an additional verification option, and detailed progress bars show more information during transfers. Uploaded files can appear in a list, and pictures can be shown in a gallery. Custom CSS rules added through the shortcode let you adjust the form’s appearance.

Choose a destination and manage submissions

Send uploads to a selected subfolder, add them to the WordPress Media area, or attach them to the current page. The plugin can also save files to an FTP or SFTP location. Submissions can trigger notifications and emails, and successful uploads can redirect visitors to another URL.

Administrators can view uploaded files from the Dashboard’s Uploaded Files menu and manage them with the included file browser. Upload events and file management actions can be logged for administrator review.

Install and check browser support

Install and activate Iptanus File Upload Professional in WordPress. Add the [wordpress_file_upload] shortcode to a page or post, or place the plugin widget in a sidebar. Configure the destination, fields, notifications, and Professional settings, then test the form in a current browser with JavaScript enabled.

HTML5, AJAX, and CSS3 support help provide the intended experience. Older and mobile browsers may not support every feature. Webcam video uploads are also possible where the browser supports the required functionality.
