Choose where the login form appears
Login Widget With Shortcode Pro adds a responsive login form to a WordPress sidebar widget or to a page or post with [login_widget]. It is compatible with WordPress Multisite and WPML.
For a sidebar, add the login widget to the desired widget area. To place the form in page or post content, use the shortcode. Add [forgot_password] to a page to display password recovery. You can also enable a forgot-password link in the add-on settings so visitors can open the recovery form from the login widget.
Set login controls and destinations
Optional CAPTCHA is available for administrator and frontend login forms. Login logs are stored in the database with the IP address, login status, and login time. In the Pro edition, administrators can block IP addresses after a specified number of incorrect login attempts.
Choose a WordPress page or custom URL as the destination after login. You can set a separate redirect page after logout and choose a user profile page.
Style the form and use social login
The form has a simple structure for styling with the admin CSS settings or your own CSS. The add-on also lists social login for more than 30 sites and describes this option as requiring no setup, maintenance, apps, APIs, client IDs, or client secrets.
Listed services include Google, YouTube, Google Drive, Gmail, Twitter, LinkedIn, PayPal, Yahoo, Microsoft, WordPress, Amazon, GitHub, Tumblr, Vimeo, Reddit, Dribbble, Twitch, Medium, Discord, Line, Stack Exchange, Stack Overflow, Disqus, Blogger, Meetup, Foursquare, Yandex, VKontakte, Telegram, Dropbox, Fitbit, Slack, Deviantart, Mailchimp, and Skype.
