Changes appear in the live editor without reloading the page. Its visual options let you adjust styling without coding. Place the finished menu with a WordPress widget, shortcode, or PHP code.
Set expansion and appearance
PRO includes the functions available in the FREE plan and adds controls for menu behavior, appearance, and content presentation. Set Initial Expansion to open selected entries when a page loads, add expand-and-collapse animations to submenus, or use parent elements as submenu toggles.
- Show post counts in supported menu views.
- Use the Custom styles setting for additional styling control.
- Choose from more than 50 icons and more than five expansion animations.
- Access more than 20 skins, alongside the six skins available in the FREE plan.
Appearance settings cover colors, fonts, margins, padding, heights, and widths. You can define styles for hover, current, and children states. Import or export complete settings or appearance settings to reuse a configuration.
Control taxonomy results
For taxonomy-based menus, select which terms appear and how they are ordered. Settings let you hide empty terms, choose an ordering field, set ascending or descending order, and control hierarchical results. Include and exclude fields accept term IDs separated by commas or spaces.
Additional controls cover search criteria, parent or child term selection, and a childless option for limiting results to terms without children. These settings can shape category navigation, product-category menus, or other taxonomy-based accordions.
Set up and place a menu
Add Iks Menu PRO to WordPress and open the menu editor. Select a custom menu, taxonomy, or FAQ group as the source, then configure content and taxonomy settings where needed. Choose a skin or adjust the appearance, review the result in the live editor, and place the menu with a widget, shortcode, or PHP code.
Common uses include sidebar menus for categories or product categories, expandable FAQ groups, and menus that show posts beneath taxonomy terms. Images can add visual context to entries. Keyboard navigation works with Tab and Enter, and menu elements have a focus state.
