Build pages and manage block access
PublishPress Blocks Pro extends the WordPress block editor with additional blocks and tools for arranging content and managing editorial workflows. Block Permissions set which visitor roles can add selected blocks, including default WordPress blocks. Block Controls set the conditions under which visitors see blocks.
Visibility conditions can use user roles, dates and times, device type or screen width, browser, operating system, cookies, user or post metadata, URL query parameters, capabilities, term archives, and specific pages. Permissions determine which blocks editors can add, while visibility conditions determine when or where visitors see them.
Blocks for specific content
- Countdown: Create a customizable countdown to an event or scheduled occasion.
- Feature List: Present items included with a product or service.
- Pricing Table: Arrange purchase or subscription settings in a structured layout.
- Google Fonts: Apply fonts to selected core Gutenberg blocks, including paragraph and heading blocks.
The wider PublishPress Blocks collection includes more than 20 additional blocks, such as accordions, galleries, sliders, tabs, maps, tables, recent posts, buttons, columns, contact forms, images, and videos. The WooCommerce product block shows products in Grid or Slider views.
Arrange and reuse content
Content Display organizes posts, pages, and other content types in Grid, Frontpage, List, Newspaper, Masonry, or Slider layouts. Filter items by author, category, or tag, and choose details such as dates, images, authors, excerpts, and comments to display.
Block Styles let you create CSS styles that editors can apply to blocks. Block Usage scans website content to find where blocks appear. Reusable Blocks provides a place to access and edit reusable content, and Auto-Insert Blocks can insert reusable blocks into posts according to position, category, tag, or other criteria.
Use the blocks in WordPress
After installing PublishPress Blocks Pro, open a post or page in the block editor, add a block, and configure its content and settings. Use the management screens to set permissions and visibility conditions, create styles, review block usage, manage reusable blocks, and configure automatic insertion. The Pro edition is an upgrade to the free PublishPress Blocks plugin, with additional capabilities and faster support.
