Build a WordPress store for digital products

Easy Digital Downloads Pro is a paid ecommerce solution for selling digital files such as ebooks, software, templates, music, photography, courses, and files. Stores can have unlimited products and transactions with no listing fees. Pro also supports selling access to software, services, memberships, and other content.

Set up products and downloads

Create a digital product, attach its file, configure the price and checkout details, then publish it through your WordPress store. Supported file examples include PDF, DOC, MP3, MOV, EPUB, PSD, MP4, and JPG. You can offer product variations with different prices or bundle products together.

After a purchase, clients receive a unique download link for authorized access. Store owners can set link expiration times, limit downloads per purchase, and track IP addresses for fraud prevention.

Handle checkout and store management

The setup wizard helps establish a store with a shopping cart, payment processing, checkout, customer management, ecommerce reports, secure file storage, and discount codes. Payment options include credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Stripe and PayPal connections support payments across more than 200 countries. Easy Digital Downloads is also a verified member of the Stripe, PayPal, and Square partner programs.

Extend the store with Pro

• Subscriptions: Offer products or access through recurring payments.
• Software licensing: Sell software with licensing functionality.
• Content restriction: Limit membership content to eligible customers.
• Abandoned cart recovery: Follow up on incomplete purchasing journeys.
