Branded links from WordPress

URL Shortify PRO lets you create, organize, share, and track short links from a WordPress site. Links can use your main website domain or multiple custom domains, and you can edit a link’s destination later. Share them in email, social posts, ads, blogs, forums, messages, and other publications.

Create and control links

Slugs are four characters by default; PRO lets you change their character count and enable case-sensitive URLs. Search for links, organize them with groups and tags, mark favorites, and display popular links in a WordPress dashboard widget. You can create links for posts, pages, and custom post types in bulk, or use the REST API and bookmarklet. The add-on can also create short links automatically for posts and pages, and link keywords in content to short URLs.

Choose a 301, 302, or 307 redirect, or use Meta Refresh. URL parameters can be forwarded to the destination. You can set links to expire, protect them with passwords, and cloak affiliate links. Dynamic redirection can choose a destination by a visitor’s location, device, operating system, or browser. Link rotations send users to multiple destinations according to their assigned weights; splash pages and A/B testing are also available.

Deep link redirects can open a destination in its app on phones and tablets, while visitors on other devices follow the regular redirect. A public-facing shortener form can let visitors create short URLs through your site.

Review click activity

Click reports include totals and details such as referrers, browsers, operating systems, devices, and locations. PRO provides full click history; the free version includes seven days. Reports can also display unique clicks, visitors, repeat rate, and clicks per day. Traffic channels group referrers into search, social, email, other websites, and direct, while a weekday-by-hour view uses your site’s timezone. Groups and tags can show ranked tables of their links, and Smart Reports can present audience data for a selected date range.

QR codes can be generated for branded links, and scans of codes created by the add-on can be counted as a traffic source. Click tracking can be switched off, known robot clicks filtered out, and specific IP addresses excluded. Anonymization can remove personal click details such as IP addresses, user agents, referrers, country, operating system, and device while retaining the click count.

Domains, sharing, and access

Alongside your main site, PRO supports short links on multiple custom domains. Share links from the dashboard through services including Facebook, X, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Telegram, VKontakte, email, and Hacker News. UTM parameters and presets help label destination links for campaign reporting, and tracking pixels can be added for retargeting.

Role controls let you manage who can create and manage links, groups, and settings. Listed integrations include WooCommerce, Social Linkz, LifterLMS, Sassy Social Share, Easy Digital Downloads, The Events Calendar, Events Manager, WordPress Knowledgebase, and Modern Events Calendar.

Import and move link data

Import links from CSV or use the available one-click imports for supported WordPress link and redirect add-ons. Export and import can move links, groups, tags, custom domains, UTM presets, tracking pixels, click history, and plugin settings between websites in a single file. Preview the incoming data, pick how existing entries are handled, and create an automatic backup before replacing data. These controls support staging-to-production workflows and site migrations.
