Give shoppers more control at checkout

Change Quantity on Checkout Pro enhances the WooCommerce checkout page by letting customers adjust product quantities without returning to the cart. It also supports removing products directly from checkout, helping shoppers correct their order at the point where they are reviewing it.

This paid version is designed for stores that need more flexibility than the standard quantity input includes. It adds compatibility for themes using custom plus/minus quantity buttons, category-specific controls, and AJAX-powered updates that refresh the checkout experience without requiring a full page refresh.

Pro capabilities

• Quantity controls that work with themes using custom plus/minus buttons.
• Category filters to select which product categories show quantity selectors.
• AJAX updates for faster, refresh-free checkout changes.
• Direct product removal from the checkout page.
• Support for product variations, including specific variation selections such as color and size.
• Responsive quantity fields and removal controls for phones, tablets, and other devices.
• Compatibility with the standard WooCommerce checkout page, including Classic checkout and Checkout Blocks.
• Premium support with faster response times and direct technical assistance.

How the checkout workflow works

A customer can review the products already in the order, change a quantity, or remove an entry without using a separate cart step. When a variation has been added, the plugin handles that specific variation on the checkout page. For example, a blue, large shirt can be updated as that selected variation rather than as a generic product.

Category filters give shop administrators more control over where quantity selectors appear. This can be useful when only selected product groups should be editable during checkout, while other categories retain the usual checkout presentation.

AJAX updates are intended to make quantity changes more immediate by avoiding a complete page refresh. Alongside the responsive interface, this creates a checkout workflow that is easier to use on mobile devices and touch screens.

Compatibility considerations

Pro is intended for the standard WooCommerce Checkout page, including the Classic shortcode and the newer Checkout Blocks. It is not described as compatible with custom checkout pages created through third-party builders such as Elementor’s WooCommerce Builder, Divi BodyCommerce, or WooLentor / CoBlocks.

The add-on’s broader theme compatibility includes custom plus/minus controls. Store owners should still review how their theme implements quantity inputs before configuring the checkout, especially when the theme substantially changes the quantity interface. Product variations are supported, and the source information also identifies compatibility with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage.

Installation and setup

Install the Pro plugin in WordPress, then configure its checkout quantity options. Select the product categories that should display quantity selectors, review the theme’s quantity controls, and test both quantity changes and product removal on the standard WooCommerce checkout page. Check the experience on desktop and mobile devices, and verify variation updates before making the checkout available to customers.
