Authors List Pro displays post authors or visitors in other WordPress roles as a list or grid. Configure a listing in the WordPress admin area or place the [authors_list] shortcode in content. Each listed visitor can link to their post archive. The Pro edition adds Styler controls for color, typography, and spacing, plus visitor search and filters to help organize the listing.

Set the layout and profile details

Choose style 1, 2, or 3, then choose two, three, or four columns and a horizontal or vertical direction. Set the avatar size and how many users to show. Entries can show the user title, post count, biography, or link. Choose the element around the user or author name; it defaults to a div, with options such as h2.

Choose and order users

Include or exclude specific user IDs, limit the listing by role, such as administrator or editor, or show only authors. You can skip users without posts, require a minimum post count, or limit results to users whose latest post was published within a selected number of days. Name controls can match the beginning of a display name, first name, or last name.

To organize users around content, specify category IDs, term IDs, and a taxonomy name such as post_tag. Sort by post count, post date, ID, login, nicename, email, URL, registration date, display name, first name, or last name, in ascending or descending order. Biography text can also be trimmed by word count.

Customize listing components

Before-and-after attributes let you add custom content around the avatar, title, count, biography, and link. They also support dynamic user or author meta fields in the {al:INSERT_FIELD_NAME} format. Additional dynamic output can include post links and social links; social links require Yoast SEO.

Place the listing

After adding Authors List Pro to the WordPress site, configure the listing in the admin area or add the [authors_list] shortcode where it should appear. Start with the shortcode, then add attributes for layout, user selection, ordering, displayed information, styling, search, and filters.
