WP Email Template Pro applies a responsive HTML template to WordPress messages that pass through wp_mail(), including email output from supported add-ons. You can use the layout for customer messages, administrative notifications, store emails, form submissions, and security alerts.

The template is optimized for show in Apple iOS devices, Microsoft Outlook, Hotmail, Apple Mail, Yahoo! Mail, Google Gmail, Android devices, Windows Live Desktop, and Mozilla Thunderbird.

Layout settings

Enable or disable the template, change its width from the 600px default, select a background colour, and toggle a background pattern. You can also upload and position a header picture, then set its container background, border, and padding. Add footer content with the WordPress editor and social links in the follow-us section. Additional dynamic style options are available in Pro.

When the template is off, you can still use the add-on’s sender configuration without wrapping each message in the HTML layout.

Sending provider settings

Available choices include SMTP through your server, Gmail SMTP, Mandrill through API or SMTP, and SparkPost through HTTP API or SMTP API. The plugin brings these settings together with template controls; the selected provider handles message delivery.

Plugin coverage and limits

Supported plugin examples include Gravity Forms, Contact Form 7, Formidable Forms, WooCommerce, WP e-Commerce, BackupBuddy, and Wordfence. WooCommerce email output can be ignored by default or included for consistent store branding. WP e-Commerce emails to clients and administrators are supported.

Coverage depends on messages passing through wp_mail(). The template may conflict with a plugin that applies its own HTML email template, and it does not apply to messages sent through php().

Installation and setup

1. Install and activate the plugin.
2. Open the WP Email menu in the WordPress administration dashboard.
3. Open the Template submenu and add your styling.
4. Open the Send WP Mail submenu and configure your preferred sending provider.
