PiWeb Advanced Flat rate / Conditional shipping for WooCommerce Pro lets you configure when a shipping method appears at checkout and how its charge is calculated. A method can depend on one condition or a combination of conditions, so the available choice and rate can reflect the destination, cart contents, customer or order details.

Choose when a shipping method applies

PRO rules can use the shipping zone, cart subtotal after discounts, total cart weight, or the maximum width, height or length of products in the cart. The discounted subtotal rule can exclude virtual products. You can also make a method depend on an applied coupon, a subscription product in the cart, or the customer having an active subscription.

Other conditions cover shipping class, payment method, customer role or city, shipping-class subtotal or quantity, product variation attributes, and product stock status. Order-history rules can check whether this is the customer's first order, the last order total, order count or total spend. A method can also depend on an exact set of products or categories being present or absent. Time-of-day and day-of-week rules are available; a rule based on the selected delivery day requires a delivery-date selector add-on.

The add-on also includes conditions for state or county, postcode, city or town, country, product, category, cart subtotal, quantity, customer, free-shipping coupon, backorders and currency. Combine conditions to tailor a method to a particular checkout situation. A city or town condition compares the entered city text.

Split an order into shipping packages

The package manager divides products in one order into separate shipping packages, each with its own applicable method or cost. Packages can be grouped by product, category, shipping class, attribute, price, stock status or virtual category. For example, place fragile products in one package and other products in another, then set a per-unit charge for each group.

Virtual categories make shipping-specific product groups without changing the store's category structure. PRO lets you include extra products or variations in a virtual group, or exclude selected products or variations from it. You can then use that group in a shipping condition.

Set flat rates and additional charges

The PRO cost field supports a flat charge per entry, a percentage-based charge or a minimum fee. Use [qty] for the number of products in the cart and [fee] for an additional fee. For example, 10 + (2 * [qty]) represents a base charge of 10 plus 2 per item. A fee expression such as [fee percent="10" min_fee="4"] applies a percentage of the order total with a minimum fee of 4. Additional charges can add to or subtract from the base shipping charge according to conditions.

These cost rules can create table-rate-style calculations. The amount depends on the configured cost formula and the cart values it uses.

Manage overlapping methods

PRO can combine multiple shipping methods into one displayed rate. When a selected method applies, settings can conceal all other methods, hide other methods from this plugin, or hide lower-priority methods from this plugin. The plugin also has an option to show a single available method based on the highest or lowest shipping charge.

Configure and check the rules

Install the plugin in a WordPress and WooCommerce store, then set up shipping methods, conditions, package groups, charges and method-priority behavior. Check representative destinations and carts, including relevant discounts, products and subscription cases, to confirm which methods appear and how their charges are calculated.
