Import once or keep records current

WP All Import Pro is a paid upgrade for importing XML, CSV, Excel, and Google Sheets data into WordPress. Its four-step process uses drag-and-drop mapping, so source files do not need a fixed layout. Use it for a legacy CMS migration, affiliate data feeds, or websites that maintain listings, stock quotes, or sports scores.

Map data from different file formats

Map incoming columns or XML elements to WordPress fields, including custom fields used by themes and Custom Post Types. CSV imports follow the same general process as XML because the plugin converts CSV data to XML internally, making XPath filtering available for CSV too. CSV files can use different column headings and delimiters. If special characters cause import problems, the source recommends UTF-8 encoding.

Excel columns are detected when you upload a spreadsheet. To import Google Sheets, select the Download a file option and provide the sheet’s public URL.

Configure Pro features for external data

• Custom fields: Map source data to fields associated with posts.
• Images: Download picture URLs from XML or CSV files into the post media gallery.
• External files: Download CSV, XML, or Excel files from websites, including sources protected by HTTP authentication.
• Recurring imports: Use cron jobs to check external files periodically. Based on file updates, recurring imports can add, edit, or delete imported posts.
• Custom PHP functions: Pass an imported value to a function in a template, for example [my_function({xpath/to/a/field[1]})]. Inline PHP execution is disabled when both DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT and DISALLOW_FILE_MODS are set in wp-config.php.
• Email support: The Pro edition includes guaranteed technical support by email.

Export, edit, and re-import WordPress data

WP All Import integrates with the companion WP All Export add-on. Export posts, WooCommerce products, orders, customers, or other data, edit it in Excel, Numbers, or another application, then re-import it to the same site or move it to another WordPress site. A separate WooCommerce add-on is available for XML and CSV product imports.

Run and review an import

Select a source file or Google Sheets URL, choose the WordPress content type, and map the incoming data to its destination fields. After running the import, review the imported records to confirm the result.
