Build and publish a slider

Smart Slider 3 Pro lets you create image, video, post, and layered sliders in WordPress. Start with a blank slider, select a template, or use a pre-made slide from the Slide Library. Add media or a dynamic source, arrange the slide content, then publish with a shortcode, widget, WordPress block, or supported page builder.

Visual editor and layouts

The live editor lets you organize layers in rows and columns or position them freely. Choose a full-width or boxed layout, then adjust the design for mobile, tablet, and desktop screens. Pro adds two slider types and a full-page responsive layout. Visitors can navigate with touch, scrolling, or a keyboard.

Layers, animation, and controls

Slides can include headings, text, pictures, buttons, Vimeo videos, and YouTube videos. Pro adds 18 extra layers, an animation builder, and a live animation timeline. Adaptive font sizing and device-specific layer visibility help tailor slide content to different screens. Style typography with the font and style manager, and add overlays, slide thumbnails, shadows, or controls such as arrows, bullets, autoplay, bars, and thumbnails.

Choose horizontal, vertical, or fade transitions between slides. Pro also includes extra background animations, with more than 54 settings, a built-in lightbox, autoplay timing settings, and additional control presets.

Dynamic content sources

Pro can create slides from WordPress custom post types, filtered by custom taxonomy or selected posts. For WooCommerce products, sources can be filtered by category, tag, featured status, stock status, or downloadable status. Gallery sources can display images with related metadata.

Event sources are available for All-in-One Event Calendar, Events Manager, and The Events Calendar. Social sources include Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, YouTube, and Pinterest. These sources can populate product showcases, event shows, post highlights, and galleries.

WordPress integrations

The extension works with the WordPress media manager, shortcodes, widgets, post permalinks, and post editor. Supported page builders include Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, Page Builder by SiteOrigin, Visual Composer, WPBakery Page Builder, and Gutenberg. Smart Slider 3 Pro supports WordPress Multisite and is described as compatible with any WordPress theme.
