Gallery media by variation

Variation Images Gallery for WooCommerce Pro lets you assign additional visual content to product variations such as a color, style, finish, or image-based option. Each variation can have unlimited additional images. When a shopper changes the selected option, the gallery can display the media assigned to it, giving visually distinct choices room for extra angles and details.

The Pro edition also supports video galleries and lets you select a gallery style for each product.

Media and presentation controls

• Add unlimited additional images to each variation and arrange them with drag-and-drop sorting.
• Display variation gallery images in a grid and choose a gallery style for each product.
• Add videos from YouTube, Vimeo, or TikTok, or upload your own video.
• Place thumbnails on the left, right, or bottom of the gallery, with a slider for browsing gallery items.
• Let shoppers zoom in on images, set the zoom button's position, and open images in a lightbox.

Use with variation-led products

A clothing product can show separate imagery for each color or style. A furniture product can provide multiple views of a finish or configuration. Products with image-based settings can display a related set of visuals when a shopper selects an option. Store managers can add, remove, and reorder media for each variation.

Compatibility and setup

The plugin is described as compatible with the Flatsome Theme Builder Product Gallery Element and the Elementor Page Builder Product Gallery Addon. It works with Variation Swatches for WooCommerce, supports product quick view and multisite, and is described as compatible with most popular WooCommerce themes.

Install and activate the Pro plugin through the standard WordPress plugin process. The supplied instructions direct customers to WooCommerce > Settings > Variation Swatches for use and configuration. Add variation media from the product editing area, then adjust the gallery settings as needed.

Typical workflow

1. Open a product with variations in your WooCommerce catalog.
2. Add additional images or supported video content to the relevant variation.
3. Use drag-and-drop sorting to set the display order.
4. Choose the gallery layout and presentation settings for the product.
5. Review the product and switch between variations to check the related media.
