Review files before cleanup
Scan the library for unused images, large files, and duplicates to identify entries for review. Trash Images moves files to Trash and lets you recover deleted images. You can also compress images, edit them with the built-in Image Editor, or replace an image with a new version.
Process existing media
Bulk AVIF conversion handles images across the media library, including larger collections. Product information describes AVIF as able to compress further than WebP at equal or better quality; WebP reduces file sizes compared with JPG and PNG.
Choose how media is delivered
Optional CDN offloading connects from the dashboard, with the nearest region selected. No separate CDN account, API keys, or DNS changes are required. Included storage is up to 100 GB, depending on the plan.
Existing media can be offloaded in the background with live progress, cancellation, and automatic resume. New uploads can be offloaded automatically. Local files are kept by default; you can choose to remove them after the CDN copy is confirmed. Exclude file types such as SVG and PDF, or specify image sizes to leave out.
Responsive image URLs are rewritten to serve image sizes from the edge, including WooCommerce product, variation, and gallery images. If the CDN is unreachable, images can fall back to the website's server. A storage dashboard displays included storage usage and the number of images served from the edge.
Start in the dashboard
- Install and activate ThumbPress Pro in WordPress.
- Open the ThumbPress dashboard and choose a Pro module.
- Review large, unused, or duplicate images before applying cleanup actions.
- Compress, edit, replace, or convert images to AVIF in bulk as needed.
- For CDN offloading, connect from the dashboard, choose storage settings, then start with existing media or new uploads.
CDN offloading is optional. The other image-management modules work without it.
