Mixed-media galleries in WordPress

SimpLy Gallery PLUS and SimpLy Gallery PRO are paid editions of SimpLy Gallery Blocks. They support responsive galleries, albums, sliders, and lightbox experiences in the WordPress block editor, with images, self-hosted HTML5 video, audio, YouTube, Vimeo, and VideoPress items.

The editions give photographers, visual artists, agencies, educators, publishers, and WooCommerce stores more ways to present media or assemble collections.

PLUS includes layout choices

Alongside the core gallery blocks, PLUS adds Portfolio, Showcase, TagsBox, List, Split Carousel, Horizon, Accordion, and Diamond blocks. Select a block in the editor and adjust its available visual controls for the page or collection.

• Portfolio and Showcase present visual projects.
• List, TagsBox, and Accordion arrange structured media collections.
• Split Carousel, Horizon, and Diamond provide other gallery presentations.

These layouts can be used for portfolios, catalogs, project pages, event collections, and media-rich articles. Supported galleries can combine images with video, audio, and external video items.

PRO builds galleries from sources

PRO includes PLUS and adds dynamic sources for galleries and collections. Supported sources include SimpLy folders, YouTube, Vimeo, WooCommerce, FileBird, Media Library Assistant, and additional sources. When a gallery uses selected SimpLy folders, it can update automatically instead of remaining a fixed snapshot.

This source-based workflow is useful when a collection should draw on organized media, a video service, a store, or a media-management tool. For a hand-selected collection, use the block editor or a saved gallery instead.

Core blocks and reusable media

The underlying plugin includes eight WordPress gallery blocks: Masonry, Justified, Grid, Slider or Carousel, Viewer, Albums, Album Navigator, and Saved SimpLy Gallery. It also includes saved galleries, reusable shortcodes, album pages, Tags Filter, a built-in lightbox, and SimpLy Media Assistant for organizing and reusing WordPress media.

For self-hosted video items, the video poster generator lets you select a video frame as the featured picture. YouTube and Vimeo galleries use lightweight playback with one active video embed at a time. Gallery output includes static fallback HTML for media visibility, and the plugin uses standard WordPress media sizes without creating extra image copies.

Set up a gallery

In the WordPress block editor, make or select media, organize items with SimpLy folders and tags, then choose a gallery block or saved gallery structure for the page. PLUS visitors can refine the layout with its available visual controls. PRO users can select a supported dynamic source when a collection needs to draw from folders, video services, a store, or a media-management tool.

Albums group saved galleries for visitors. The lightbox can also manage native WordPress Image and Gallery blocks, linked images, and SimpLy galleries.

Installation

Install the chosen SimpLy Gallery edition in WordPress and add its gallery blocks through the block editor. Configure the available media, layout, lightbox, folder, or dynamic-source settings for the workflow. PRO users can select a supported dynamic source when creating a gallery or collection.
