Enable automatic lightboxes for images, galleries, and videos across your site, or disable that option and configure selected links yourself. The responsive, HiDPI-compatible show includes touch support for mobile visitors.
Choose how content appears
Seven CSS-powered effects include Fade, Slide, and Fall. Captions can appear automatically for images. Start with either of the two built-in themes or use the templating system to make a custom theme.
More than 15 settings are available in the administration interface. Adjust colors with color pickers, customize styles with CSS, or use custom options to override styles without editing CSS documents.
Configure selected links
To set up lightboxes manually, first disable automatic addition in Settings > Responsive Lightbox. Then add the relevant rel and data-lightbox-type attributes to each link:
- For one image, use
rel="lightbox". For a gallery, use a shared relationship value such asrel="lightbox[gallery-0]". - For an iFrame, external link, Google Maps, YouTube, or Vimeo, use
rel="lightbox"anddata-lightbox-type="iframe". - For AJAX content, use
rel="lightbox"anddata-lightbox-type="ajax". - For inline content, use
rel="lightbox"anddata-lightbox-type="inline".
