WordPress plugin
Album Gallery for Flickr Pro
Album Gallery for Flickr Pro retrieves images through the Flickr API and displays a selected album on a WordPress website. Albums must be public; private albums are not supported. Add the gallery shortcode, such as [FLICGAL id=123], to a post, page, or widget area. The shortcode also works with Gutenberg and page builders such as Elementor and Divi.
Flickr albums in WordPress
Album Gallery for Flickr Pro retrieves images through the Flickr API and displays a selected album on a WordPress website. Albums must be public; private albums are not supported. Add the gallery shortcode, such as [FLICGAL id=123], to a post, page, or widget area. The shortcode also works with Gutenberg and page builders such as Elementor and Divi.
The extension fetches album photos when a page loads, so new photos can appear on later loads. If your site caches pages, clear its cache to see those changes.
Layout and collection controls
Choose a responsive grid or masonry layout. A grid arranges thumbnails in columns, while masonry accommodates images with varied proportions. The base version lists 2, 3, 4, or 6 columns; Pro includes an extended set of 2, 5, 6, 8, or 10 columns. Pagination helps organize larger albums, and Pro supports up to 500 images per album.
- Lazy loading for album images
- Customizable gallery titles
- Eight lightbox libraries for enlarged picture previews
- Multiple hover effects and animations
Image presentation and settings
Adjust thumbnail and lightbox image sizes, thumbnail height, spacing, borders, hover color, and opacity. Image title tags and alt text are supported. Default settings speed up album setup, global gallery settings help keep choices consistent, and each album can have custom CSS. Built-in documentation is included.
Set up and embed a gallery
- Install and activate the plugin in WordPress.
- Open Flickr Album Gallery > Add New Gallery and enter a gallery title, Flickr API key, and album ID.
- Publish the gallery to create its shortcode.
- Add the shortcode to a post, page, widget area, or supported page-builder layout, then save and review the responsive gallery.
The album ID is the number after /albums/ in the album URL. The API connection retrieves and displays the images from Flickr.
