PublishPress Series Pro groups related WordPress content into magazine issues, topic collections, lesson sequences, and story chapters. Editors can add content to an existing series while writing or start a new one. Insert a post in the middle of a sequence and the add-on adjusts the order.

Build a series from different content types

Series Pro works with posts, pages, and custom post types, including a single sequence that mixes them. A post can belong to multiple series, so one article or lesson can appear in more than one collection. Editors can filter the post list by series and assign an image to each series.

Series Pro also supports grouping series and includes extra tokens for customizing series templates.

Show where each part fits

• Series Post List Boxes can list the content in a series with titles, featured pictures, authors, and publication dates.
• Series Post Details shows an item’s position, such as part 3 of 8.
• Series Post Navigation includes previous and next links between parts.

For more control over placement, use the shortcodes [series_post_list_box], [series_nav], [series_meta], and [publishpress_series_categories] to insert series information at a chosen point in post content.

Manage order and release timing

The Publish Series screen brings the posts connected to a series together. Editors can reorder them, schedule them, or publish and unpublish them as a group. This is useful when the full sequence is prepared in advance and needs a planned release order.
