Assign authors across different workflows

Molongui Authorship Pro lets editors credit registered WordPress visitors, guest writers, and multiple co-authors on posts and pages. Guest writers can have profiles without WordPress accounts; add a bio, avatar, social links, job title, affiliation, or custom links, then select them in the post editor. Guest authors can appear with registered users in linked bylines and author boxes.

For collaborative posts, select and order contributors in the editor. Byline names link to author pages, and Schema.org markup supports attribution for multi-author content. Pro includes byline prefixes such as By and suffixes such as et al.

Choose how author details appear

Author boxes can show bios, avatars, social profiles, and related posts. Boxed, minimalist, tabbed, and inline layouts are available, along with additional premium layouts. A live preview editor, responsive styling, custom CSS, and editable headings control the presentation. Dynamic bios support rich text, media, HTML, and third-party shortcodes. Pro also adds more than 30 niche social icons.

Place boxes automatically before or after content, show them on posts and pages, or insert them with a shortcode where a theme does not provide the desired byline position. On WordPress 6.3 or later, native Gutenberg blocks add an Author Box and a Post Byline to posts or templates. Pro adds prefix and suffix controls to the Post Byline block, with optional published and updated dates, categories, tags, and comment count. AMP and RTL are supported.

Manage guest profiles and author navigation

Pro includes guest author archive pages, one-click conversion between users and guest authors, bulk editing and cloning, REST API support, and import and export utilities. Existing authorship data can be imported from Co-Authors Plus and PublishPress Authors; user avatars can be imported from One User Avatar.

Author lists have four layouts and a user role filter. Lists of posts by author have five layouts and pagination, and users can search content by author name. You can also disable author pages for registered WordPress users or use shortcodes to retrieve author information for page builders.

Configure display and compatibility

Conditional display rules can use user roles, tags, and other conditions, and Pro supports custom post types. Install and activate the add-on, configure the author box and display settings, add guest profiles as needed, and assign contributors in the editor. Shortcodes provide another placement option. The extension is described as compatible with themes, Elementor, Divi, and other page builders; theme settings may need adjustment if a theme duplicates the author box or handles author archives differently.
